Applying for a part-time job is a little different from applying for a full-time professional position because mostly you may not need a resume and cover letter, however you should dress neat and tidily at least. Having business casual dresscode is usually suitable. Wearing khakis and a neat polo shirt would be better than wearing jeans, shorts, tank tops, crop tops or anything especially low cut shirt or pants or too short skirt. It is also not recommended to show your belly. Then, make sure your hair and fingernails are well groomed. Extreme hair styles or colors will make you fail to get a job. The shoes should be moderate also. Never wear spike heels, platforms, flip flops or old dirty sneakers. What about piercing? Well, you must consider removing some of them while you are looking for a job.

Indeed you need to prepare some documents to support you. They will indicate how qualified you are. It is started with schools and dates attended, names and addresses of previous employers, if you have a worked before. Then, make sure the dates of employment. References from neighbors or teachers will be beneficial. The last is prepare your resume if you have one. Because this is a part time job, you have to define what days or hours you are available to work. Moreover, preparing to have a brief interview is better to be done, since sometime the interview is done directly after your coming.
