Many people have experienced in searching for job, even for months or years but still cannot find and feel the suitable one. Perhaps your job title is an administrative assistant in a small office. It has been months since your search for something similar to your old job but in a greater place. What would you do then? Remain in the same place may not be a choice also. This is why flexibility is needed. If you are not careful, as a job seeker, your situation could become worse than that of an unemployed person. Perhaps you like working at a steady pace-but not a ridiculous pace. You work better in a quieter setting, but not in a loud setting and this happens for a long time. If you can adjust to all of these variables at one time, it will be good. But if you cannot means you are in trouble.
Many people today have to take whatever job they can get. Expert advice is to make sure the job you take though is one that you really can do. Before accepting the any position, ask if you can have someone walk you through the work and show you where the job will actually be performed. If the employer will do that, you will get a better idea of the type of work, setting, and environment you will be in. Then, you need to think carefully what you are willing to adjust to when taking a position. Remember, many positions have set procedures with little or no employee control. If the job has a few differences from your work habits and personality type, most likely you will be fine. But, if the strange thing don't suit your current capabilities, knowledge, personality type, and work habits, you might want to reconsider accepting the job.
Therefore, before you accept a position, whatever it is, make sure you want to and are willing to make the necessary adjustments. Never take a position that you feel you absolutely cannot do or can do in very difficult way. There is no shame in not being able to do a job. It would be foolish to take a job when you could not adjust to and also lose your unemployment.
